PURE GOLDWATER Nominated for the OneBookAZ Contest
The Arizona State Library has invited Arizona citizens to participate in a state-wide contest to pick the one book that they think people across the state should read at the same time to promote discussion and encourage people to read. Among the six titles nominated in the adult category is PURE GOLDWATER, which features the private diaries, letters and family photos of Barry Goldwater, the beloved senator and presidential candidate who made Arizona his home.

A Palgrave Macmillan Title Named One of the "Five Best" Books on Afghanistan
Modern Afghanistan: A History of Struggle and Survival by Aiman Saikal has been chosen as one of The Wall Street Journal's "Five Best" books on Afghanistan. "These books afford a deeper understanding of Afghanistan," says Ann Marlowe. "Saikal conveys some hard truths about his native land, including his broadest point: No Afghan government has been able to maintain itself in power without foreign support."
